In Preparation for Future Growth, Hospitality Leader Announces Executive Promotions

February 3, 2020 – Richmond, Va. – Sandpiper Hospitality, one of the hospitality industry’s rising stars, announced today the promotion of several executives and the addition of a new Regional Manager. Due to the rapid growth of the  ompany’s portfolio and Sandpiper’s positioning as the leading operator in the economy and midscale extended stay hotels segment, the company has evolved its organizational structure to prepare for further growth and to provide an enhanced level of support for the company’s current clients and hotels.

Sandpiper Hospitality announced the following promotions:

Mark Schwenker has been promoted to vice president of operations after joining the company in 2018 and leading the highly successful transition and oversight of the company’s Extended Stay America portfolio

Candace Reynolds has been promoted to vice president of human resources after two years with the company shaping and then leading all the company’s talent strategies

Victor Cruz has been promoted to vice president of revenue management after joining the company in 2016 and achieving market share success year-after-year

Beth Grove has been promoted to regional manager after several outstanding years as a General Manager and Area General Manager for the company in Frederick, Md.

Evan Verbeek has been promoted to Regional Revenue Manager after several outstanding years as General Manager in Virginia Beach, Va.

The company also announced that Kenneth Almy has recently joined Sandpiper Hospitality as a Regional Manager based in Texas. Kenneth has extensive experience with extended stay hotels in the Southwest and Southern states.
