In 2007, we recognized that there was a huge unmet need for affordable, quality midscale and economy hotel accommodations.
We built our first hotel with a third-party property management team running operations, and when the hotel took off, we assembled a team and began building a few more hotels. These hotels thrived, confirming the demand for affordable, quality lodging. However, the management group failed to meet our expectations or deliver the experience we desired for our guests.
It became clear that to reach our full potential, we needed to assume control ourselves. Therefore, we founded Sandpiper Hospitality with one clear goal: to be the premier manager of midscale and economy extended-stay hotels.
