When it comes to business development smarts, Andy is easily heads and shoulders above. He is responsible for executing the company’s growth plan via internal and external acquisitions, working strategically to bring robust opportunities to the deal table and then moving them to fruition. Andy has more than 25 years of real estate transactional experience spanning the legal, capital markets, developer and owner perspectives. This unique transactional perspective combined with expertise in franchising, branding and asset management allows him to understand all aspects of complicated multi-faceted transactions.

Andy also leverages more than 20 years of business development and legal experience in the hospitality industry with industry brands and capital providers. During his career, Andy has been a critical part of business development teams for GE Capital Solutions – Hospitality Finance and Citi Hospitality Finance, WoodSpring Hotels and Troon Golf. Andy was also a partner at Sandman and Savrann, a national law firm specializing in representing clients in the hospitality industry and has a substantial amount of real estate legal transactional experience from both his private practice and General Counsel roles.

When asked why he loves Sandpiper, Andy says, “My job uses all of the skills that I have developed in 30 years of business. I love the hospitality industry because our execution translates into positive experiences for my colleagues, our customers and our investors.”
