Beth Grove

Regional Manager
Sandpiper Hospitality

Beth Grove was born and raised in Hagerstown, MD. She started working retail the summer before her senior year of high school. She spent seventeen years in the retail industry working her way from a sales associate, to a key holder, to Store Manager and ended her career in this sector as Multi-Unit Manager and District Trainer.

In 2015, she decided she wanted more. She was looking for a company that would not only offer future growth opportunities, but also a company that would offer her a work/life balance. Beth was actively searching and came across Sandpiper Hospitality. She was intrigued by this opportunity to learn about the hospitality sector.

After careful consideration and a very lengthy interview process, which closed with a conversation with the owner of the company, Beth was selected to open Sandpiper Hospitality’s first Woodspring Suites branded hotel in Frederick, Maryland as the General Manager. She spent her first year learning the ins and outs of the industry, to include sales, brand standards, and operations. She was recognized very quickly and named sales manager of the year for 2016, ramping the new hotel up to 80% occupancy in just under four months.

By year two with the organization, Beth’s passion for training and development landed her in a Training Manager role. During this time, she trained all newly hired General Managers for Sandpiper Hospitality. In 2017 Beth was recognized for her leadership and training and was named Mentor of the Year.  In July of 2018, Beth was promoted to an Area Manager role with direct oversite of the WoodSpring Suites Frederick location and with the WoodSpring Suites Baltimore White Marsh reporting to her. At that point there was no doubt in her mind that the sky was the limit. In November of 2018 Beth was certified through Choice as a Brand Trainer. The excitement didn’t stop there; in 2020 Beth was presented with Sandpiper Hospitality’s highest honor, The Catalyst award.

December 7th will mark Beth’s 5-year anniversary with Sandpiper Hospitality, and what a ride it has been! Beth is closing out 2020 in her first year in a Regional Manager role. She joined Sandpiper Hospitality looking for opportunities and has been given that and so much more.  She has built long lasting friendships, mentorship has been instrumental in her development, and it has been an honor to watch to watch the organization grow and evolve into what it is today. The future is bright, and she is excited to see where she lands next. It’s an exciting time to be part of Sandpiper Hospitality!
