Debra was born in Morgantown, West Virginia and moved between different Air Force bases in various states every few years. She grew a passion for travel at an early age, frequently spending time traveling the East Coast attending Air Shows and sightseeing in different cities.

Her family eventually settled in the central Ohio area where she graduated from trade school in Computerized Office Administration and obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology Security. After working in the IT field for a couple years, she decided to make a change and start work in the Hospitality and Tourism industry.

In early 2013, Debra started work as a Travel Consultant booking leisure vacations and group retreats. Later she primarily focused on group Study Abroad and Convention travel for large universities, government agencies, and hospitals nationwide.

Being familiar with the hotel industry but never working at a hotel firsthand, Debra decided to apply for an On-site Management position at the Woodspring Suites Columbus North. She started work in September of 2019 and was determined to learn as much as possible in the field of hospitality. Most importantly this was an opportunity to do something she loves- meeting and working with guests to create a great stay and experience for them.

Exceptional customer service is her number one priority (other than her three beautiful children of course!) Debra is persistent, she does what it takes, and she never gives up. She manages to go above and beyond in everything that she does. She is a team player and has assisted another Sandpiper hotel in the market when they were between manager. After showing her dedication and leadership skills, Debra was promoted to General Manager of the WoodSpring Suites Columbus North in October 2020, and she dreams of one day managing a hotel in a tropical tourist location!
